Declan McDonald

Chairman

Declan McDonald, a third-generation farmer from Ballycanew, Co. Wexford, brings a wealth of experience to his role as Chairman. Educated at Kildalton College (1989), Declan has been farming full-time since 1996, operating a low-cost, grass-based system with a 105-cow herd. A long-time member of Farm Solutions and Buyrite, Declan joined the cooperative's board in 2013 and served as Vice-Chairman from 2019. His father was a committee member when North Wexford was part of the FRS network, and Declan himself chaired the local Tirlan advisory for three years. Declan's deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Irish dairy farmers, coupled with his commitment to supporting the farming community, makes him a valuable leader for the cooperative.

Nigel Whyte

Group Chief Executive

Nigel Whyte is the CEO of Solutions Group, appointed in November 2024. With over 25 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge from the Irish Agri-Business, Finance, Education and Training sectors. Nigel has held several senior leadership positions throughout his career, demonstrating a strong track record of success.

Claire Cullen

Group Financial Controller

Claire joined the organisation in 1995 and was appointed Group Financial Controller in September 2002. She has been the backbone to the development of the organisation since then.
